What I Like About Rick Santorum

Me? No, no, no. YOU go fight for your country!

Originally, I intended to discuss what I don’t like about Rick Santorum, but I don’t have that kind of time on my hands. This approach will be much, much quicker.

There are two things that I like about Rick Santorum.

The first thing is that Ricky makes no attempt to hide the fact that he loves the idea of “playing war” and being a big, tough, wartime President. He’s clear about the fact that a Santorum administration would definitely mean not only staying the course in our current wars, but also creating some new ones! At least we know up front that he will funnel billions more of our tax dollars into the bureaucratic quagmire in the Middle East, instead of utilizing them here at home. Rick was clear on this stance on New Year’s day, saying that if a sovereign country did not meet his demands he would escalate and use deadly force:

(01/01/2012)“I would be saying to the Iranis, you either open up those facilities, you begin to dismantle them and make them available to inspectors, or we will degrade those facilities through air strikes.”

Excellent Rick!! Thank you for marginalizing yourself! Obama lied about ending wars in 2008 and won the White House, but Rick wants more war and more spending. Brilliant! Santorum winning the nomination means we get stuck with Obama for four more years. The GOP knows this, so keep it up Rick.

Anyone who has followed any of the GOP race already knows that Rick Santorum is a war-mongering chicken-hawk who has never served in his nation’s military. Maybe that is why he takes the potential responsibility of sending those who do the actual fighting, and the dying, so lightly. I wonder if Rick got his wish and he had all the war- all of the killing and dying his heart desired, would any of his 3 children of fighting age serve? If they follow in Rick’s foot steps then no, that burden would be left for other American families to bear.

He and so many other politicians are confused about the true purpose of our military. We are not here to force other nations to bend to our will by beating them into submission, to favor sticky, shady alliances or to aid in Santorum’s personal crusade. We are here to defend our Homeland and its Constitution and destroy America’s true enemies with honor. Not to meet the goals of the meddling politicians pulling the strings.

The second thing I like about Rick Santorum is, when recently asked if he would vote for Ron Paul if Paul was the eventual Republican nominee, Rick’s answer was “absolutely,” but added that it would make him “nervous”.

Well thank you for the future support, Mr.Santorum. And feel free to get nervous as long as you remember to show up and cast your ballot for Dr. Paul on election day. But, more than that, thank you for revealing to the voting public the true strength of your convictions. You claim to believe in your kill’em all for freedom, Bibles and babies foreign policy… yet you show your soft yellow belly. You are just another slimy politician that will roll over and do what the Party says, rather than hold true to your beliefs. You have no backbone and you won’t stand alone for what you believe is right or wrong.

That’s right Rick. I see you for what you are: a coward. Other educated voters see this as well. Which means, you don’t have a chance at winning the nomination, let alone the Presidency.

I like that about you.

    Loren, treason is un-American.

I wish every American read your article. Thank you and all like you.

  3. thank you all for your service, but with the amount of voter fraud going on and @$$holes like Eric Holder trying to see to it that it continues, the day may come when the men and women have to take action here at home and remove through force our supposedly elected officials. after they are removed, the FBI needs to audit the fed, dismantle goldman sachs, and the supreme court needs to lock Obama, Holder, Pelosi, and Janet Napolitano away for life. When they are removed, you guys would reserve the right to demand that your overwhelming voice be heard and install Ron Paul for a four year term to see this once great nation’s true potential in the modern world realized. Our armed forces would have my 100% support in these actions at home. Thank you and god bless.

  4. thank you for your service, but the day may come when our men and women in uniform may have to march on 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. and remove the money changers from office and then you guys will be able to install who ever you wish into office – And the fact that that person would most likely be the one most of you support makes me a lot more open and welcoming of that day. Goldman Sachs should be obliterated as well.

Great article and you continue to provide a great service to our country by speaking the truth from a position of experience. I served 4 years active duty and three of my brothers served also; we’re sick and tired of the chickhawks that want to play at Commander In Chief with other people’s lives. Thank-you.

Thank you all for your comments and encouragement. This is an uphill fight but together we will take back our country lets leave it all on the battlefield and savor the struggle.

Col. Douglas Macgregor (USA ret.) has stated emphatically, on more than one occasion, in fact as recent as this past month on Judge Andrew Napolitano’s “Freedom Watch,” that “There is NO existential threat to the United States,” and that middle eastern adventures are a “bottomless pit,” a “no-win scenario.”

In the field, in Gulf War I, he proved to be a “modern day Patton.” Dear people, what more expert advice and instruction does one require? Col. Macgregor is a living example, of both Generals Smedley D. Butler (2 time CMH), and David M. Shoup (CMH, who served under Butler, and 33rd CMC).

I don’t comprehend how someone like Santorum et al don’t get it. It is probably as simple as willful ignorance. It is a pathological denial of reality. These are the dangerous ones. I feel nervous, just the fact that these types are even candidates. God help us all.

“And feel free to get nervous…” he’s always nervous- probably has to do wit the high probability that there is at least one gay person within 5 miles.

Thanks so much. My dad (RIP) who fought in Korea (US 3rd marines) is the only one in my family (besides me) who was against these insane wars. Thanks to good folks like you for telling all these fake patriots that we’ve got to stop this nonsense.

Semper fucking Fi, devil. I think I felt a stir in my loins.

For all my brother Marines fighting for the cause of liberty, I salute you. Let’s put a real patriot into the White House – Ron Paul 2012!

  14. SamFox says:

Great one bro!! Don I think has a good point.
Thank you for your service! God be with!

I am a Ron Paul supporter for many reasons. One of them is he would stop feeding the sausage grinder military industrial complex the war hawk CINO & ‘progressive’ neocons stuff with the youth of the nation & the treasure stolen from the taxpayer.

Nice work, CPL. Keep fighting the policy fight for those of us who can’t. There are many more than you know still in uniform who are backing you.

  17. Don says:

Semper Fidelis Corporal Fowles! President Paul would do well to surround himself with men of honor such as yourself rather than the rank-and-file secret service that would be “issued” to him when he becomes Commander-in-Chief.
